Explainer video on grants for industrial
Challenge
The Basque Government, through the Basque Energy Agency (EVE), promotes a series of grants aimed at encouraging power generation for industrial self-consumption.
Renewable energy production has a significant impact on industry: it improves competitiveness and reduces carbon footprint. In this context, EVE needed an audiovisual piece that could clearly and effectively communicate the benefits of self-consumption and promote these grants within the industrial sector.
Creative approach
The video combines 2D and 3D animation to create a visual language that is clear, engaging, and impactful.
Natural elements —clouds and sun— are present throughout the piece, representing the origin of energy. Electricity is visualized as a continuous flow of light pulses. These elements are developed in 2D, bringing clarity and simplicity to the narrative.
Industry, on the other hand, is represented through 3D elements, adding depth and realism. The integration of both styles creates a balanced visual system that reinforces the message and enhances understanding.
Development
The process began with defining the visual style, built around the first scene of the script, which conveys the core idea: “In industry, every kilowatt counts.”
Based on this concept, we developed the full storyboard for the video.
Once approved, we moved on to music selection and voice-over recording. As the video was produced in both Spanish and Basque, we selected a voice talent capable of delivering both versions consistently and naturally.
The final phase included animation and post-production, establishing a tailored workflow to seamlessly integrate 2D and 3D elements.
The result is a contemporary institutional piece: visually engaging, clear in its message, and aligned with EVE’s communication goals.
